FUNDADOR:
Abraão (Gn 12.1-3), cerca de 2000 a.C. no Oriente Médio. Existem três ramos principais do Judaísmo: ortodoxo, conservador e reformado, cada um com suas crenças.
ESCRITURAS:
O Tanach (Antigo Testamento), especialmente a Toráh (primeiros cinco livros do Antigo Testamento). O Talmude
(explicação do Tanach). As Escrituras dos sábios, tais como, Maimónides, Rashi etc.
DEUS:
Deus é Espírito. Para os judeus ortodoxos, Deus é pessoal, Todo Poderoso, Eterno, Misericordioso. Para outros judeus,
Deus é impessoal, incognoscível e definido de muitas maneiras. Não há Trindade.
JESUS:
Jesus é visto como um falso messias extremista ou como um bom rabi (mestre), que foi martirizado. Muitos judeus desconsideram Jesus. Os judeus (exceto os judeus messiânicos) não crêem que ele foi o Messias, o Filho de Deus que ressuscitou dentre os mortos. Os judeus ortodoxos crêem que o Messias vai restaurar o reino judaico e governará finalmente o mundo.
ESPÍRITO SANTO:
Alguns judeus crêem que o Espírito Santo é um outro nome para a atividade de Deus na terra. Outros dizem que é o amor de Deus.
SALVAÇÃO:
Alguns judeus crêem que a oração, o arrependimento e obediência a Lei são necessários para salvação. Outros crêem quea salvação seja o aperfeiçoamento da sociedade.
MORTE:
Haverá ressurreição física. Os obedientes viverão para sempre com Deus e os injustos sofrerão. Alguns judeus não crêem em vida consciente após a morte.
OUTRAS CARACTERÍSTICAS:
Reúnem-se nas sinagogas no sábado. Praticam a circuncisão. Vários dias santos e festivos, incluindo a Páscoa, Sukot, Janucá, Rosh Roshaná, Yom Kippur, Purim. Jerusalém é considerada a cidade santa.

HOLY SPIRIT:
Some Jews believe that the Holy Spirit is another name for God's activity on earth. Others say it is the love of God.

Some Jews believe that prayer, repentance and obedience to law are necessary for salvation. Others believe quea salvation is the betterment of society.
DEATH:
There will be physical resurrection. The obedient will live forever with God and the wicked will suffer. Some Jews do not believe in conscious life after death.

They meet in the synagogues on Saturday. Practice circumcision. Several saints and holidays, including Easter, Sukkot, Janucá, Rosh Roshana, Yom Kippur, Purim. Jerusalem is considered a holy city.
