RELIGIOUS REVOLUTION IN THE WEST AND THE SURVIVAL OF GROUPS NOT OFFICIAL BEFORE THE REFORM
The West around 1517 underwent a major religious revolution, due to the Protestant Reformation brought about by Martin Luther, one agostiano monk, after he and other reformers were emerging. However, there were unofficial groups at the time of the Reformation such as the Anabaptists and Waldensians. Luther and the other reformers, according to Catholic sites continued believing in the same way the Romans in some aspects such as the dogma of the Immaculate Conception, and infant baptism. Infant baptism was one of the points of disagreement between the reformers and Anabaptists, which were a previous group the Protestant Reformation, as well as the Vaudois. According site linked to Baptist believers, the Anabaptists are provided Montano, who over time have changed the name because of the persecution to them by the official church considered, and that unfortunately received hostile treatment by the reformers.
It is noticed that survived two groups, with one group, if not for the advent of the Protestant Reformation would likely be wiped out by the Romans. Waldensians were persecuted by Romanism so in the past that nowadays little is said this survivor group of massacres and treatments inhuman imposed by considered official church at the time, and in a very few days, since the Anabaptists who now known as Baptists despite also suffering persecution, and many of his supporters dead.
The name Anabaptists came from the fact that this group not to accept infant baptism, rebaptized those who came to his church, and another point of the Anabaptists is that only accept the Bible as the rule of faith and practice, leaving aside many Roman doctrines.
The Waldensian the principle were backed by the papacy, but over time were also leaving the Roman ideas as well as the Anabaptists only have biblical teachings as truthful.
A common point between Waldenses and Anabaptists was to enaltecerem the Bible as the only source of faith and practice leaving the Roman teachings, as many of these teachings have no support in the holy scriptures, but the tradition is strongly accepted in Romanism.
It is thought that some pre reformers, were influenced by the Waldenses. While Vaudois in some way were spared from being extinguished by the Protestant Reformation, the Anabaptists were not so lucky with the reformers.
Currently there are a small number of Vaudois, while the Baptists exist in large numbers, probably the number would be doubled if they had not been persecuted and killed by the Romans as much by the Reformers.
There are currently three major Christian groups, Roman, Orthodox and Protestants, not counting smaller groups that still exist in the east, groups that have been excluded in antiquity as Nestorians, Copts, etc.
Christianity has gone through many transformations in the nearly 2,000 years of history, but the fact is that the main person, the founder of Christianity, the man called Jesus, which is believed as the son of God for all Christians, the savior of mankind, It continues to be proclaimed to all nations.
